During the last ten weeks I have discovered that I have a love, hate relationship with literature. I have also discovered that if I ever have to take a Lit class again I would never do it online. I also discovered that I know very little about many aspects of literature and how to analyze poems. I have a very hard time with them. Who knew there were so many types?? And stressed and non stressed syllables..
In the future I would like to spend more time on this topic to further my knowledge but I would like to do it on my terms. At many times through this course I felt rushed and pushed along.
Katy, as I read your blog post I can clearly see this was a class that impacted you and your feelings of literature very much. I enjoyed reading it as I could feel the determination you had and also see that you found something to drive your reading going forward.
ReplyDeleteAt times I felt rushed too and know that if I had the chance to do it on my own, I would take way more time getting through thing so that I was able to build a better understand. Although, I'm happy we can are at the final steps of the class! Great post!
Katy, I too felt rushed through the assignments and class. You could not have said this better. Like Lonny I am glad this is the final steps of the the class.
ReplyDeleteI also have a love hate relationship with literature. I learned a lot during this class and it helped open my eyes to reading. I didn't feel rushed though, that's unfortunate that you did. I do think I missed out on a lot that I would have picked up on in a traditional classroom set up rather than taking it online. However, I still feel like I learned a lot by struggling through different types of literature on my own.
